She did give me permission, because not only was I given a BASE, and not the picture that was linked-- but we had a conversation about it? I swear to you that I am not lying about this. Maybe there was a misunderstanding, and I had gotten the base from someone that pretended they were the original artist? I have absolutely no reason to try and pretend like this is okay, if that is the case. I'm honestly upset, now, because I've been using the base for a long time, without problem, because I had been given permission to use it. I'll have to talk to her very soon. Hopefully I can get in contact with her, if I can remember my DA password. If not, I'll be creating a new DA to get in touch with her about this. I really did get permission to use this base.

Okay, so this is going to sound so stupid, but apparently the person that I was talking to a while back, made a base out of two of your pixelarts:

I don't have the original pictures anymore, of the bases that I was "Given permission" to use. BUT-- the terrible thing is that I've been using the bases I was given to make custom pixelart animal crossing "mayor" characters for people on TheBellTreeForums for about a month or so now.
I had absolutely no clue that the base and permission I was given were completely invalid, due to the fact that I was lied to by the person that had given them to me.
I know that this is a HUGE problem now, because not only do I feel like a giant piece of **** for believing this person, but also for using this base to make my own custom art.
Now that I've found out who the original artist is-- you-- I wanted to get in contact with you and tell you about this whole ordeal so you would know about it. I do NOT want to steal your art or act like this is okay because of what happened with myself and the person pretending it was their work-- so I need to ask you if it would be alright if I continued working on these dolls, with a link to your DA as credit for the main base-- or if you would like me to close down the request forum and discontinue making these arts. I love to make them, and I would be very honored to be able to continue using the base, but if you don't want me to use it any longer, I will stop immediately. I've created this DA just to inform you of this whole situation, in hopes that you will soon get back to me and see this.
I do not sell the arts for real money, nor would I ever with any of my art, so it's nothing super serious-- but it's still a very serious matter to me because I cannot stand when people steal art without permission from the REAL artist.
I am soooo so sorry for this mistake and inconvenience. Please get in touch with me when you can!

I am so sorry for all of this. I am borderline furious at the moment. I feel like such an asshat for falling for someone else's art theft. I should've known better. I am such an idiot...
EDIT:
Due to the above unexpected circumstances, I'm going to have to sadly cancel all pending requests for the time being. The ones that are ready will still be delivered if asked-- for no charge-- but I'm not going to be making any more pixels with this base, due to my mistake of believing that someone else was the original artist of it, who had given me permission to use it. I'll post again soon, once I've made a new base, and continue the commissions I have pending once I've come up with a good enough base. This time, now that I've gotten used to pixeling, it will be my own base, and not a base from someone I thought I could trust. It was foolish of me to trust them in the first place.

Important note for anyone who purchased: The artist asked for all sprites with the original base to be removed. I am doing my best to PM everyone personally if I see you using it, but just incase, please keep this in mind! Thank you <3
