Playing Fallout 4. Never played a single Fallout game before but it's fun whenever I'm not getting killed every 10 seconds lol. Just arrived in Diamond City and I really would like to get to get my radiation damage healed lol. Let's see how long it'll take me to hate this mechanic

need to get back to The Silver Case... it still counts tho :V
and picked up Story of Seasons Friends of Mineral Town again for some reason...

I'm finally getting around to playing Final Fantasy VII Remake. It's pretty good, though it's less of a remake and more of an alternate take.

Surprisingly, the download code I purchased 5 years ago(!) still worked, so now I'm playing through Pokémon Gold.

Ah, the memories... I am now being reminded just how incredibly easy the modern games are by comparison.

Yeah some of the writing choices were a bit strange, but it was still a decent game. Like when Cloud wakes and goes out of the tavern and those 'things' are attacking everyone, I legit though Cloud was having a nightmare. And then as the seconds went on I realized 'Oh wait this is really happening. Yeah I don't know how I feel about that' lol

I think I preferred how the original handled things though. Some of the fight sequences were a bit over the top lol.

Bearing in mind, I haven't finished it, but I did reach the scene you're talking about and I was also quite confused by it. Every scene prior (and thus far, every scene afterward, as well) had established those apparitions as things that only Cloud and Aerith could see and feel. I presumed that was because Aerith is a Cetra and Cloud is infused with Mako energy, but I guess that's not really the case?

The original FFVII is one of my favorite games, so I went in knowing fully well that the Remake wouldn't live up to those expectations. But I'm worried that those phantom... things... will serve to overcomplicate a plot that I've already seen a fair few people lampoon for being convoluted.

Still a fun game, though. I enjoy the combat, even if I must bemoan the change in format. And the music and graphics are also lovely, even if I feel the original used them in a more clever way. Solid game, just some narrative decisions that are leaving me puzzled.

Yeah I like to think like you said it's like a retelling or alternate universe sort of thing. Because of this conversation I looked it up and apparently part 2 is coming out sometime this year? I actually thought it got stuck in development hell with how long it was taking.

The new additions to the story were strange, but I have to admit the chemistry between the characters and voice acting were really top notch.

I do enjoy the character interactions for the most part, and I'm glad they seem to have fixed a lot of the issues I've had with Aerith in much of the auxiliary media surrounding FFVII, which tends to paint her as something of a pure, angelic figure despite that not really being in line with how she behaves in the original.

Assuming the second part does manage to get released this year, we can only hope that Square Enix is more adept at counting to three than Valve is.

Alone in the Dark: The New Nightmare (GBC). It's different, I guess. Might give the PC version a shot in the future.

Ummm the usual

ACNH
COD:MW2
Among Us
Fall Guys
ARK

also playing Rush Royale on my phone daily (the addiction is real)

I'm currently replaying Beautiful Katamari, hoping to get all of the achievements before We Love Katamari comes out later this year!

And also a lot of the Sims 4, I've found its a great way to design my DND characters

GTA 5 Online

Everytime I play this game I feel like I am just becoming more numb, but its my comfort game whenever I'm in a bad mood.

Second play through of Fire Emblem Engage. I was planning on getting back to Chrono Trigger but new story DLC came out for Engage that I just had to start my new save to try out.
