I thought he was guaranteed to show up with at least one genuine piece of art, but apparently this is not the case - bought a fake serene painting off him the other day after finding two statues and one other painting were fake. I didn't think to check them all, so, oh well. Shame - the statue fakes are a lot more worthwhile than the paintings.

I also don't really seek out art trades! I do have a second character which really helps when Redd does have more than one real artwork to offer... I do also trade art for art sometimes. Not that I have art to trade that often haha

I wish I had done that when he came with 3 genuine arts, haiz.. Now I have 2 side characters ready to buy anything from him. In NL I never bothered about him. But in NH I always look forward to seeing his boat at the secret beach

i usually will just restart the day i got redd if they're all fake.

it might be worth it, but also if you don't mind some fakes sell for a decent profit

That's also a very good point! I probably wouldn't be as excited about his visits if he were on my island twice every week...
