I never had the game cube version so idk if you could name your town in that one? I'm curious if you have changed you town names from game to game or stuck with the same one :)

Here's mine:
CF: Moonlite
NL: Luna & FairyDen

I kinda stuck with a changed version of moonlite lol

City Folk: Pug (idk why i'm the worst at names)
WW: Bagel (ugh)
NL: New Bark! I started to get a little better at names lmao

lol I was like, 10 years old when I played the GC version (20 now). I remember naming it "Indigo" after the Indigo Plateau in Pokemon o_o. My older sister named her town "Osaka", 'cause she took a few Japanese classes in school and liked that kind of stuff. Never played WW or CF.

My NL towns are Elmore (from The Amazing World of Gumball) and Madolche (from Yu-Gi-Oh! lol).

My current town is Pixelton, as was my CF town. I can't remember my first GC town name, but my second one was something dorky like "Eversky".

IDK I think you guys are way better at town names than me, I struggle with with naming. I almost want to reset FairyDen bc of it's name bc after 6 months I thought of one that would suit the town theme better but I would need the same map *sigh* lol

My town name in City Folk was literally "Peeville"... My friend had the matching "Pooville". Hilarious at the time, but now, not so much. As for New Leaf, I literally spent MONTHS trying to come up with something original, but in the end I still settled on a non-original town name from my favorite game, Mother 3: Tazmily. Still don't regret it.

My first town in Wild World was Hyrule. So original! My town in New Leaf is Amestris.

They're both references, I guess. I much prefer Amestris because I swear that every other town in Animal Crossing is named Hyrule, haha. Any other towns I have will also probably be references, because I'm not creative.

WW: Nighting
NL: Dusking

Hm.

If I were to make a second town, I'd name it Rium and make it a little nostalgic town by the sea.

WW: alaska, Luctown, Starlite
CF: Luctown, Starlite, Sol, ABC123 (resetting doesn't make me like CF anymore than I do, even if I did randomly get a perf map)
NL: Bluebell (main town since release! Never resetting it<3), Sugar (reset it), Kitten

WW town was Espa?a, I have absolutely no clue why... I was super young, maybe I just like the Spanish word for Spain?
My current town is Corellia because I think it's a pretty word and it's a Star Wars planet, which is kind of cool :)

I've used Wildcoin, Starleap, Skullbay and Meowtown (and probably a few others as well) as town names for the GC-game. For New Leaf I decided to use Skullbay once again because it would fit so well with my pirate character Stalfos (I had it all planned out long before release).

Wow I'm really surprised at the fact that most people do change their town names. Most of my friends who are more in ac than me always had the same town name..... interesting. Also I'm seeing some really cool and creative names :)

My WW town was called Crystal. I've only ever had 1.
My NL town is called Serenity, I didn't think about it too hard.
Now I wish I could rename it to Bergamot.

I used to reset a lot in other games. I'll try to remember.

GameCube: England, Forks Twilight (current)
City folk: Laketown (current), Lakeview, Africa, New moon (current)
Wild world: I don't remember I didn't play much.
Acnl: I have all of these towns now. Rosewood, Eclipse, Seaside, Moonview

And lol reading my town names you can tell I love the twilight books.

Never regret that. Don't even put the WORD "regret" in the same paragraph! :)

Also in GCN my brothers and I always reset to see how many villagers this strange, new, wonderful game had. We usually named it Boston, Milltown, New York, or occasionally just "Ireland". We used to vacation in Ireland a lot... ^~^

In GC my town name was HORSES, because I was about six at the time and I wanted a town full of horses.
My NL town is called Lilycove.
