I had a villager give me a time capsule to bury and the next day the star shape in the dirt was gone.
Has any one else had that happen? Will it come back when she tells me to dig it up? I wasn't thinking
If it would effect it or not and I buried it inside the fence I built in my town. Could that have glitched it
Out of existence?
I had the same thing happening to me, I suppose it's a glitch of the game? Or maybe it's normal? In my case, it came back but the villager still hasn't asked for it.
I didn't even bury mine in a PWP, so I suppose it happens most of the time? I'm curious about that too, so if somebody knows about it, I'd like to know why it just dissapears...
Mine still hasn't come back and its been a month lol I just started my account on here and everyone is still playing regularly which is nice cuz all my friends stopped playing so I had no one to bounce things off of. I'm glad this site is here lol

It disappears the day after you bury it, and then one random day you'll see a crack where you buried it and it will be the Time capsule. After that, talk to the villager and they'll show you the letter than give you an item.
It's not a glitch, it's completely normal. The star-shaped thing on the ground vanished after you bury it. I can't remember if it comes back when the villagers ask you to get it back but I don't think so, I think you just need to remember where you put it. That's why I always bury mine in spots I can remember and which won't get stuff built on them, like the beach or right next to PWPs or their homes.
Sometimes they'll move away without asking you to unbury their time capsule, but if that happens, they might send you a letter and tell you to retrieve it and keep the items for yourself.
It'll show up somewhere around where you buried it if it can't re-appear on the same exact spot. Also, yes, they will ask you to go get it for them, and then you will see it again.
Unless you're evil, nosy, or ok with resetting, don't think about opening it before you give it to them. They get so mad! Sparro really told me off one time, cuz I did that to see what would happen. I love him so much it actually broke my heart. I had to reset and try again. ;_;
