SummerHime
Citizen of Time

Cupid and Venus have joined forces to spread love around their towns!
Don’t miss our polls in the next few days and make sure you vote to help our villagers find love~

As Diana pondered over her choices, it all suddenly became clear: Beau was the one for her. How could she not realise it before? Not wanting to spend anymore time away from her beloved, she took his hand and simply led him out of the room, away from the bewildered looks of the other candidates. Beau was surprised as well, but now that Diana had chosen him, nothing else mattered.
Now that all other candidates have found love, our last guest is impatient to see who her beloved will be. Please welcome Savannah!

“Keep your chin up” is the advice this sweet zebra gives her friends. Although she has never been chosen before, she has kept her hopes up that one day, someone would come and make her dreams come true. Now that love has come knocking at her door in the form of eight confident male horses, she is very excited and scared at the same time. Will one of them capture her heart and sweep her off her feet? Will she add stripes to their lovely children?

About this project
After I posted my first thread, Marinette asked me nicely if we could work together on matching villagers and make two different themed towns. I was thrilled that she wanted to work with me, and she brought very nice ideas to the project! So we decided we would each poll for five different villagers during the next days. Of course, when a villager gets matched, he or she is not available for future polls. This way, we will have ten different couples!
That’s a very good question. There are so many ways I could have handled this, and to be honest it took me a while to figure it out. I could have chosen same sex villagers or animals from different species. However, I had to make a choice and opted for a very straightfoward “pick one animal / select candidates of the same species of the opposite sex” notably because it made it more simple for me and this is what I prefered. However, the main reason was because I plan on drawing the children of the chosen characters. Drawing a hybrid would be strange and a bit difficult for me...
However, I think it would be a great idea to explore other types of couples! I just don’t have the time right now as I am busy and one town is plenty for me, but maybe someone else will do so eventually! Also, you may notice that certain candidates are missing from my polls. It may happen, because as much as I like having as many contenders as possible, there are certain villagers I simply do not like and would not want in my town. For instance, I removed Stinky from Rosie’s choices for this reason. I also did not inclure Agent S in Marshal’s poll, not because I don’t like her, but because her face is almost totally hidden by her helmet, which makes it difficult to draw.

Simply, I’ve always wanted to make a themed town. Now that my husband is playing Animal Crossing with me, it’s a good time to get started as I can share with him my ideas. I’ve been inspired by ZebraNaomy’s wonderful town Lovely, which is under construction at the moment but already looks fantastic. Also, I’ve always been pairing villagers in my mind so the idea of creating a town in which I can actually match them has really grown on me.
Of course I could have decided myself which animals get matched, but I really love discussing and hearing the opinon of others. I decided to choose some villagers that I love and let the wonderful people of this forum decide who their partner is going to be. It will make the process much more interesting!
When all the villagers have been decided and I am ready, I will be buying them from the wonderful folks in the Villager Trading Plaza! I will be ready to pay their full price in TBT or IGB, so if you have a selling / cycling topic, you might see me post an offer. I will probably be buying the villagers in their original state. However, please do not let this impact your decision in the polls, as I want people to vote for the best match.
Probably a while! I am a perfectionnist and the summer is the only time of the year I have lots of free time to play video games. Animal Crossing isn’t the only game I play and I can get pretty busy at times. However, most of my projects eventually get done. Once the village is starting to look nice, I will add the dream address in my signature so that you can visit if you are intested!
ZebraNaomy - Thank you for being such a great inspiration and letting me visit your town!
