In the update they showed us the new crops. But they said:and more.
So can we expect more crops in the future?

I don't think so, I think the "and more" meant more stuff in general that wasn't in the trailer.

I think they may have been referring to other things to cook with because they were talking about ingredients that could be combined.

I agree that it was likely the other things you can use such as pumpkins or the other new items in the update. I don't think we should expect more crops or really a lot of content going forward considering

They've basically confirmed this is the last update, so I can't imagine we'll get more in the future. The trailer was poorly worded/timed, but I don't think it was necessarily implying more CROPS, just more CONTENT. And there was definitely content that wasn't shown in the video.

I wish ! I had hoped they’d add more fruit (rip durian and bananas) but seeing as they confirmed (aside from the bug fix update) 2.0 was the last update coming to acnh. Sigh.

I'm leery if they add more crops. I would be in a bind trying to find a spot for them. Same if they add the fruits from NL.

When they said "and more" I always took that as meaning, you can cook with other stuff you already have in the game. Because iirc they were talking about cooking and mentioned the new crops. That's how it always came across to me so I'm 99% sure they aren't adding other stuff to cook with
