Discuss any of the creepy aspects of Animal Crossing New Leaf here.

The most creepy thing about the game, in my opinion, is the 4 am soundtrack.

I'm not a fan of the overly enthusiastic characters... I find their suspiciously happy natures to be very creepy. Like Lloid on the island who lends you stuff, or Leif in the garden shop... I imagine them doing something else with all those axes they sell...

Otherwise, item-wise I think the theremin is pretty creepy.

What is the theremin?

yeah, the Lloyd gyroid is pretty creepy- the way he flops around and oscillates his arms wildly when you get close to him.

i find the kangaroo villagers with joeys in their pouches kinda creepy too, it just has sort of a siamese twin vibe about it.

and what's with all the darkness and fog around Isabelle in the game-loading screens? is that the void? spoopy...

I don't find much about this game all that creepy, to be honest. But for me, the closest that gets to creepy is a furniture item called the Mouth of Truth. The face on the Mouth of Truth always makes me uncomfortable. x)

Yeah, I've physically seen a siamese twin before. Though the kangaroos don't really creep me out that much.

Yeah, the Mouth of a Truth sort of scared me when I first saw it in the Nookling Stores.

I find peppy villagers quite unnerving....they're just so out there and in your face. Plus Chrissy with those massive cartoon eyes, they kind of look demonic if you look carefully....
For some reason Rhodeo used to give me the creeps. Maybe it was his overall look....
Also find it creepy when it's stormy in the game but it's quite late so no animals are around. That town is so creepy when you're going round on your own

Honestly the only thing out of the entire game that creeps me out is the groyds. Especially the one where he sits in front of the pwp's that need a donation. The way he moves...

I never walk on my own the 3 and 4 am soundtracks are to eerie, and I keep thinking I'm going to see like a ghost or something. Especially when I walk down.

you know when you're in a dream town and the retail sign says "temporarily closed forever"? i've always found that super eerie...

The gyroids creep me out. I don't ever keep them. I sell them as soon as I dig them up. They remind me of gnomes, I hate gnomes. They are creepy little things.

When villagers say passive aggressive things, it's kinda creepy because in NL you're so used to them being nice to you. Or the music late at night is pretty creepy.

I think some of the kk songs are unintentionally creepy, like hypno kk or kk synth...even though I like them. Also sometimes the villagers are a little creepy if you just watch them doing their thing in their house or something. Cuz they're just wandering around or standing in an almost empty room.

Yes omg. There are a lot of aspects of dream towns that are really scary. I also hate going to a random dream where the town's pretty empty and there's always that echo-y 2 pm music.

I always thought that the start up screen with Isabelle was a dream your mayor was having and Isabelle was able to contact you via... Dream contacting powers? I don't know if there's a specific name for it.

The early hours of the morning (2 AM- 5 AM) are the creepiest to me. The music is eerie, no villagers are outside, it's dark, all the stores are closed, etc. It just gives you this creepy, somewhat undescribable feeling of loneliness.

The first time I checked that sign it gave me the creeps, not 100% sure why. It also kind of startled me when I saw the "closed 24 hours" sign on the cafe, but not as much.

That's interesting since I guess starting the game is when your character wakes up sort of. I always thought of it like the opening to a play? Like she's standing on a dark stage with the spotlight on her and she's ready to start the show.

Coco. She is probably the creepiest villager I've seen. A gyroid rabbit, essentially. It just... is a stark contract to the rest of the roster.

Pietro is a nightmare. Clowns are just creepy in general, but a clown sheep?

No, just no.
