Creative Island Themes

Earlier I got to thinking about what themes may not exist in New Horizons when it comes to terraforming. Then I thought about an Egyptian styled island. Deserted island? Desert island? Turns out someone actually made an Egyptian themed island, which is pretty impressive. Especially with the designs he used and just the overall layout. There's a lot of Japanese styled islands, which while they do look great, they're also pretty common, especially with the amount of items that revolve around Japan in-game. I have yet to also see some sort of Central and South American styled islands, or something that's never been done before. That being said, I'm not sure why they got rid of the King Tut mask, Pharaoh outfit, coin headpiece, kaffiyeh, conical straw hat, warbonnet, and folk tunic. Were these deemed too offensive or something?

Coin headpiece and kaffiyeh are Gulliver items, actually! And I’m pretty sure I can craft the straw hat. I’m sure we’ll see a return of items over time... at least I hope so!

Not sure I've ever seen anyone make a swamp, but that'd be a pretty interesting environment. Too bad there aren't any plants that can grow in the water.
Maybe a New Orleans bayou would be cool? I guess the landscaping is too limited to make these.

I don't think they didn't include it because it was offensive. There's some stuff from New Leaf they didnt bring back like the pirate outfit. I miss that. I originally wanted to make my town kinda like a shady dock or port town with piracy. To keep up with the tropical look.

I know about the straw hat, but the conical straw hat isn't in the game from what I can tell, but the straw umbrella hat is, which you can craft.

Oh, cool! I haven't seen the Pharaoh outfit or kaffiyeh. I'm glad those are still around.

I'd love to see that. I recall seeing some patterns on this site that someone created specifically for a swamp. But yeah, it would be cool if you could plant stuff in the water.

I do wish we had the pirate hat and captain coat. I don't remember what it's called. They cut a lot of the pirate themed stuff out, though. If Pascal ends up making a return and we can get pirate stuff, then I'm definitely going to go for it.

Really? I didn't know about that. I guess they changed the name. Like the cabin set is still in this game, but they call it log instead of cabin.

i traded with someone earlier who had a video game themed island? not exactly sure what to classify it as and it wasn’t themed after a specific game but it was almost arcade-like? it looked really neat!

I'd say that's pretty unique. I haven't seen an island based solely on just that alone.
