Creating a fourth player character?

I picked up ACNL after a long, long pause to finally "finish" the town of my dreams, but in order to do that I would pretty much need a fourth character.

I remember that there are some benefits from not having a fourth character though, like being able to check for plots etc. before loading a save. I don't plan on letting any villagers move out anymore though.

Are there any advantages of only having three characters that I am missing? If I don't plan on changing villagers, is there any point in not having 4 characters? A good advantage of the fourth character for sure too is the extra storage!

How many characters do you have? What do you think about having four characters?

My main town (Tenshi) is complete and only has two characters. I did have somewhat of a problem with storage, but I never really thought of using another character to hold items (it's not really a problem now). When I was trying to get Whitney out of my town, I tried using a third character to do the ignore and the TT method, but it didn't really work (I ended up having to kick someone else out instead).

I'd say that if you want to make four characters, a benefit would be decorating their houses! I love designing interiors and working on my characters' rooms, I even toyed with the idea of creating a third character with a sports-themed house. I never ended up doing that though (because I didn't have much room left for a third house). Like you said before, if you plan on moving out villagers then I'd say that you should keep a character space free, but since you said you plan not to, I don't see why you couldn't have four characters.

Yeah but the current dlc is cr@q now its all reorderables.
What happened to the pumpkin pies and afternoon tea sets >.<
