I was recently watching a video on Gamevideos.com that was talking about free games, and there were a couple I tried that were really fun.
Crayon Physics:
This is something that would be perfect for a DS game. This is still just a beta-ish version, and I'm not sure if it's still being worked on so it's about 7-10 levels long

Basically, you're trying to get a little circle to move and hit the star at the end of the level. At first it feels somewhat like line rider, but you can't have a floating line, gravity comes into play. (hence the name "Crayon Physics")
At the moment, there's a limit to what you can draw out. If you make a big zig-zaggy line, it'll just turn into a big square. It's a really interesting concept, I recommend trying it out.

Synaestete
Mix a seemingly headless gray guy, cool techno music, lasers, guitar hero on a keyboard, strange motivational poster type sayings that get in your way, and a strange name. What do you get? Synaestete. It's a game that's pretty hard to explain. You have to use WASD to run away from baddies, while using your right hand to play a guitar hero-esque game with your right hand in order to shoot lasers at them. You have to pay attention to two things at once. It's interesting, and fun.
