Buying Could I Borrow a Golden Axe?

So, I'm trying to set the paths in my newest town for plot resetting, but there's some pesky trees where I want my chicken coop! I don't want to invest in a golden axe due to probably never using it again, but could I please just borrow somebody's? Feel free to stay in my town while I use it. I only need to chop down a few trees. Thanks!
