Im hitting a roadblock with my town rn, im a perfectionist and im really hard on myself with my town, and i feel like i don't really know what to do with it currently. Could anyone possibly visit my (VERY) rough, wip dream town? Basically the concept behind my town is an abandoned kingdom that has turned into an overgrown spring forest with woodland villagers. My mayor is the princess who used to live there, and theres a witch who lives in a tiny cottage in the woods who put her into a suspended animation spell type thing that saved her from whatever happened that made everyone leave the kingdom (possibly a war) that has made her awaken decades later in this forest. (I haven't added the witch yet!) I have only really landscaped the left bottom side, and bits and pieces of other places. I have decorated two rooms in the Castle, and i would love some feedback on them as i'm unsure about them! I am replacing Punchy and Ruby, and i will be getting Deirdre hopefully soon, but i don't know what other villagers i should get that would suit the woodland theme. There are some items scattered around that i use for landscaping, and flowers everywhere, so it really is a mess but i hope you can see past some of it in order to give me some ideas! Thank you so much to whoever chooses to visit, it means so much to me, i really need the help! Thank you so much!! The address 4800-6817-0354

It's really good so far! I really like the theme and what you've done.

I will say the rooms that you have finished are a bit empty, but that might just be my aesthetic (I love the lived-in look, to be fair).

Bears and small bears are a good idea for a woodland theme. Also birds, eagles, and rabbits! ^0^

But yeah, awesome work so far.

aah really, thank you! I really appreciate you taking the time to visit! I have barely landscaped considering how long i have had the town, (i've taken lots of breaks, but still) I just get so anxious about making decisions. Do you think my dirt paths look a bit messy? They are pretty hard to make, and i wanted a natural path but sometimes i worry the overall look of my town is too messy.

this is such a cool idea for a town! i just visited, here's things i noticed:

- i LOVE the princess/castle house. i think the empty space is actually very fitting, since castles tend to be very large and open.
- recommendation for the back room: an abandoned throne room. maybe put a throne, a bunch of knight's armor, and a crown in front of or next to the throne? also, keep the lights off in this room for a more abandoned feeling.
- can i ask what your idea is behind all the benches? are they just there to prevent villagers from plotting there, or?
- i really like the little nook in the trees with the stump to sit on!
- i adore the natural paths. i think they look fantastic, and not messy at all! if you were to use any patterns id recommend something like mosaic stepping stones, like these
- pwp recommendations:
- bell
- fairy tale stuff (bench, streetlight, etc)
- fountain
- statue fountain
- topiaries
- water pump/well near villager houses or in a "town square" - it's a medieval town, and that's how they got water in medieval times!

overall, i think your town is really coming along great :) i can't wait to see it as it grows!

I absolutely adore your theme, it's easily one of the most interesting and creative ones I've come across! Your town is looking really beautiful so far and I have no doubt that the end result is going to look stunning as well! I think what you've done is something to be proud of. ;)

There's no way your paths look messy, they're very nice and even actually. I love the feeling they give to your town and think that creating them was a great decision! Fits the theme very well. I love the combination of trees, bushes, flowers and other landscaping elements you've used and how you've used them.

You've done things so well that I honestly don't feel very confident in giving you ideas or advice. Your own ones have been so good that I completely trust that whatever you end up doing is going to look great. But I guess this post hasn't been very contributing so far so I'll try lol! I think using some of the fairy-tale PWPs would fit your theme, they could act as remains of the old kingdom. Just an idea of course, but in addition to the natural PWPs you've set up, maybe you could consider adding PWPs to remind of the old times. Something like the fairy-tale PWPs I mentioned or things like the bell, fountain, statue fountain, stonehenge or the like. Flower topiaries and maybe the flower clock would fit your landscaping and color scheme as well. As for particular areas, I don't really have suggestions for now as I don't know what you've been thinking yourself. There's a lot of space in front of your town hall and I think maybe it could have acted as a park of some sort in the past?

I don't know, I hope this was at least the tiniest bit helpful. I have perfectionist tendencies as well so I know how it feels like not being happy with your own work. But I assure you that your town looks great! Good luck and if you ever hit a roadblock again, need ideas or whatever, feel free to hit me up. I'd gladly help you brainstorm ideas.

Was going to ask you about that- how do you do that dirt path? It looks super nice.

Thank you!! Yeah, those benches were there to help with plot resetting. It actually works really well, but it takes a while to get rid of them haha. Those PWP would fit really well, thank you for the recommendations!! :)

Thank you so much!! This was really helpful! I love the idea to add the fairy tale pwp and other regal things to hint that there used to be more than just a forest. Thank you so much for visiting and the kind words about my town, it means a lot :)
