On May 23, 2005 a game opened that many Disney goers would come to know as "Virtual Magic Kingdom" or "VMK" for short. In this 100% free game, players got to personalize their avatar, decorate as many guest rooms as they wanted, and experience the magic of Disney's Magic Kingdom right from their living room. This game was loved and played by many. It was a game that Disney had released as a promotion, but never intended to hang on to for a mass amount of time. Closing rather abruptly on May 21, 2008, Disney had announced that the game had lasted already far longer than intended. The company never planned on the community growing to such large size. Needless to say, the closing of the kingdom left fans heartbroken. That is...until a remake called "MyVMK" opened in the later half of 2013. There have been many fair attempts at making a remake of VMK, but this is the only one that's ever really stuck. The community is pretty small, but it's still good. The game is a lot of fun and designers keep making new content to add to the game. It would be pretty cool if any of you Disney people would come hang out with us!
