considering restarting, help!!

so i caught the "i've moved out" glitch from an amiibo scanned villager i traded for very early this morning. i don't have amiibo cards myself so i can't attempt force the glitch out or something, wich means my only other options are to start fresh and lose all my progress and found dreamies, or wait and see if an update is released.

i asked if someone would be willing to hold a few of my items and bells on their island until i can come get them if i do restart, they said yes and that's cool, but i'm still not quite sure the good thing is that so far this glitch isn't preventing me from progressing, it's just preventing from a 10th villager. and before anyone asks, i did report it to nintendo! i just dont know if i have the patience of waiting for an update.

i guess a pro of restarting would mean i get a new map and new island name? but what do you guys think?

i would be! especially since i'd want to catch up again, i started my island on the release date

That's extremely unfortunate, I'm sorry that happened to you. I thought they patched it out with a previous update? What's your current game's version?

Anyways, I can hold some of your things for you on my island in the meanwhile. I have a lot of vacant space. My internet sucks though, so there's no guarantee it'll work

Nintendo is patching the game at least once a week right now. I'd say wait for the next week or so.

i haven't been able to try that yet cause so far the campsite villagers haven't requested the glitched (aka "cherry's") plot, but if i'm able at some point i'll post about it
