Consequences of cutting down island trees?

Are there any (rare)bugs that only spawn on the island trees in the middle?

The giant stag and rainbow stag (both 10,000) spawn on those but if you're farming for island beetles it's rarely worth it to keep them. You can just plant new ones once you're done.

Really, just focus on getting the Scarab Beetle, Giant Stag, and Rainbow Stag. Then get rid of the trees and all of the bushes/flowers. It makes beetle hunting so much easier even if it makes your island super bland. I would also recommend cutting down trees on the horizontal southern section because it's a lot harder to see beetles there and catch them. I also pick up every single seashell and put it in the center grass of my island so I can easily tell when there's a Hermit Crab.

That's just me so I can maximize profits. Feel free to do whatever you want with your island.

When I island hunted a lot I cleared a few trees and things that got in the way. That's about it.

I sell them to the little girl. Its a low profit (usually about 100 bells) but its free money AND it helps me chase off hermit crabs.

You can also gather all of the seashells at the center of your island every day for a few days and then cover your entire shoreline with them when you have enough to do so and then hermit crabs won't have any place to spawn.

They do. They only appear after 11:00 P.M., so either you are not looking at the right time or you haven't been looking long enough because they are kind of rare.

selling to her she usually gives crappy prices but whatever you can do what you wish... you could get more for them at re-tail
