Are there any? Will new villagers still move in if you tt backwards instead? I know this is my second thread here today sorry but I would like to please know.

No matter how far you go back in time, it'll always count as one new day. Like if you go to 02/19/15 it will count that as 'tomorrow' aka the next day.

The only con to tt'ing backwards is trying to get back to 'today', because fowards every day counts.
Unless someone decided to move out in a few days, then you can tt forward as far as you like without losing a villager.

that actually is why i tted forward is bc one of my villagers moved out, I just rly hope no one else moves in. I don't believe anyone will but idk ;v;

The only real cons I can think of is the turnips spoiling (if you bother about turnips that is) and the fact that nothing new will grow, no new hybrids spawn when you go back. Apart from that, it's just as the person above says - it's difficult to get back to the present day again.

No cons for me. I went from 2018 back to 2016 with no repercussions whatsoever. And when I am cycling out to get someone to move, I will tt back and forth constantly and still face no negative affects.

Hybrids won't grow, trees and bushes that are newly planted won't grow, rocks with ore won't spawn, but mushrooms do in fact still grow near stumps (I didn't think they did when tt'ing backwards but it just happened to me a few days ago).

I thought this too, until I TTed backwards & found my Chrissy in boxes with no warning. I wanted to cry, since I had Francine also & Chrissy was breaking the set.

as long as no one's due to move out the next day, there really isn't any cons. it's just as everyone else said, tt'ing forwards is the problem C:
