okay so me and someone are going to make a trade for my merengue and her skye, but we both have 10 villagers atm. if merengue and skye are both in boxes can we still trade?
nopes. you can only take a villager in if you have an open spot. if you have 10villagers in your town, when you try to adopt them they say your town is full. the only way around it is...sorta risky. one of you may need to TT forward a day and send one of those villagers into your void pool. if you TT forward to let merengue go without anyone adopting her she goes into your void pool. there's a high chance that if you go to pick up skye in boxes, you'll empty your "void pool" into that person's town. i have gotten pple's void pool when they picked up villagers in my cycling town a lot and i also had someone come to my cycling town the day after a villager moved out and was able to pick her up through my void pool. i hope this helps.
there's a pretty high chance of getting them through void, but yeah i understand. those are two really good villagers. good luck with merengue and finding skye/any other villager you like

yeah , Merengue is my dream villager and she finally said yes so i took that chance but i heard about this but oh well >w< i'll find another merengue .
Safest thing to do is to find a holder and then get one of you to nine by having that holder pick them up and then the person who gave the villager to the holder TT to the next day. Then that person comes over to the other person's town to get the other villager. So the person who gave their villager to the holder has ten villagers and their part of the trade done, now the holder just has to give the villager to the person who now has nine. I'm sorry if I confused you, if you have any more questions if this was unclear please feel free to respond. I also know it's a lot of work, but if you get someone very reputable to hold your villager there shouldn't be a problem.
