Color Schemes for Villagers?

I don't know if anyone else does this, but I have a color scheme for my villagers. They have to be mostly white, mostly black, or black and white, or blue/turqoise. Check out my signature, you'll see what I mean.

Does anyone else do this?

Definitely! I only take villagers that are neutral colours i.e. brown/white/black/grey. I'm also ok with very dark blue (so for example I have Mitzi and would also take villagers like Poncho). But yeah I stay away from all the bright coloured ones because I prefer a natural look in my town.

Mine are pastel colours. I'm seriously considering Roscoe just to mix things up

I'm doing that in my third town. I'm basing it in autumn, so I wanted villagers that matched an autumn color scheme (red, orange, yellow, gold, brown, etc)

i do this with villager's houses actually. they can't be the boxy kind, or the ones with the cone roofs. i don't know why but if a villager has a home that looks like that then i won't take them. (kyle is my only exception!!) and the villagers just have to be bright and not dark colored like black.

Hm i never thought about color schemes in terms of which villagers i wanted as dreamies it was more of which personalities i liked and i wanted a variety of animals,

This is hilarious. I try to make it so my villagers look good together and I do think about color balancing, but I mostly go based off who I want the most at the moment. I have Pietro right now and I love him. He's so colorful.

That's what I thought before, but then I took a step back and looked at my town. All my villagers were ugly and terrible, and they looked like clowns together. So then I decided to make a color scheme, and it all came together!

Mine are pastel colours.

Same. I cannot have light-colored villagers, then a BRIGHT orange one and a black one and a freakin' neon one. Urgh.

I don't have a color preference, but it would be fun to have all one color. Like all pink or blue villagers. I like having towns with all one species.

You're not weird some of them have butt-ugly houses and you don't want your town to look like North Korea.
It's k man I understand. Some of my dreamies have bad homes but I live with it xD

I like variety personally, so for my second town I went with Henry, Diva, Joey, Molly, Jeremiah, Bill, Miranda, Lily, Croque and Pompom hopefully

I want most of mine to be pastel. Neutral is fine but I don't really want all white or dark colors.

I am doing something similar! I was looking for villagers in different shades of gray/blue with the exception of black/white villagers, but more specifically I wanted their houses in some form of gray/blue combination! Managed to find 10 villagers and organize them in such a way that I really like! Looking forward to moving them all in and making progress on my town! (Recently I've been farming bells and flooding my town with PWP to make plot resetting easier... and in the process unlocked my golden pail and all the expressions! :3)
