Anyone else like to collect something in the game, not necessarily as part of completing your catalog but just to have that specific collection there?

I find myself always buying umbrellas from Nook's Cranny, even though I don't use umbrellas and I generally just sell them back right away. So many of them are cute! I love the paper parasols, the animal-esque ones (especially the frog one), the lacy ones... Maybe one day I'll consider lining them up along some of my streets to show them off

I wanted to collect all of the train sets as my son is obsessed with trains and I thought it'd be cool to make a little garden area with them all in.

Beyond that, I just get items I like. I wanted more variety of surfboards, but I didn't feel the need to have them all.

I think the only thing I kind of collect is villager photos, but only the ones that I have right now. I didn't bother doing it when I first started and I never cared to do it in NL. So far I've gotten 4/10.

My K.K. Slider List (finally completed)

My DIY List for everything I can craft.

Started a new list for Photos and working on a list of Cataloged (non-clothing) items as well. So many lists, but the make it so easy to not buy something when you already have it cataloged. I think I will set up an Umbrella list to. I have a lot of them collected.

I am also an umbrella collector myself! I also collect one copy of each furniture to do catalog trades with other players.

Honestly, I am quite upset with the limit Nintendo gave us. 1600 is just not enough.

Yes, the gnomes, I forgot about those! I want to get all of them eventually, but I'm not in a rush lol. I plan to set them up next to all the crafting tables all over my island.

I also had the different colors of folding chair forced on me by balloon presents early on. I think I only need the red one now - all the rest of them came from balloons or probably trees.

I really loved collecting the gnomes! Also, any type of clothing item.. I just want them all and I wish that my closet storage was big enough so I didn't have to get rid of anything Even the ugly clothing items, I want everything.

Clothing is always a problem! I wish we could store different outfits on all the different wands.

ig id say i want to collect all the bug & fish models, and all the villager pictures. but it also being shown in the catalog is a big influence as well,,,, I Am Not Immune To The Catalog Completetion.

Confession time: I saw your picture in another thread a week or so ago and I 'borrowed' the idea!

We only had the spring train set for quite a while, and I stupidly thought they must be locked to each season, so was waiting to collect the others!

Then I saw your picture and I knew I had to do something similar so I got busy trading!

My son LOVES trains - we live near a train track and it's a daily activity to see how many and what types we can see on our walk.

When he saw all four he was so excited and he makes me visit 'the train garden' every time we play! I'll try to get a picture of ours to share soon.

yesssss the wrapping paper! I think I've just started today - I bought two and stored them away. When I learned Harv's island lets you place wrapped presents I knew I needed them for my party room

I collect the KK songs! You can completely cover all 4 walls in one of the smaller rooms with them and it's a cool way to show them off. That being said, I'm still missing quite a bunch and KK Birthday will be a nightmare and a half for me to get because my birthday isn't until March.
