What is the point of asking someone out on acnl? Are the mayors supposed to be accurate representations of what you look like? My mayor's a dude with a mustache... Whoops! Lol...

I'm not old but i'm not young either i'm in the later half of my 20's and this kid asked me how old i was and i said old enough to have my own credit card and he was like ohh i like them older i'm a lonely 16 yr old and i noped the eff out of there so fast lol whether he was joking or being serious that is just not my for me lmao

The worst experience I've had at Club Tortimer was walking onto the island and seeing someone having an inappropriate town name and player name.. their hacked TPC picture.. Let's just say I'm not even going to go there......

Luckily they left right away after I arrived before I had any interaction with them.

Other than that, nothing too bad though. Someone told me that they'll "steal my mushroom hat" which made me chuckle (I wear the celebration hat to get max luck from it being a permanent lucky item)

Them switch flippers annoy me though.

I think I know exactly who you're talking about. They're just absolute trash.

I don't think any item can break or mess up your game as far as I know, I actually was afraid when I brought it back that something bad would happen with my game at first, but it is a-okay!

There are items that a hacker can give you that appear in your inventory as one of the 'lost items' like a book, and you can't get rid of them. Can't drop them, trash them, etc. It happened to me once, but luckily it was a friend who did it on accident and told me to just error. So yeah, if you pick up anything that you can't put down, error your game immediately.


I'm amazed by all the people in this thread that haven't met beggars. Maybe they only come out at certain times. I've gotten trapped on the island for refusing to give someone bells before. Which to me is ridiculous, since it's never been easier to make money in any game. I've also been cloned before. I think as far as bad things happening in CT, clones are by far the worst.

I was only for two or three times on Club Tortimer, just to check out the shop and then I went back
to my town, so I don't really have any stories to tell about CL. I'm not interested at all to go CL, as
I don't want to deal with hackers or some annoying players. Reading the experiences from others

A lot of people have bad experiences, but I think it’s just about timing, I had a lot of good experiences there, maybe had some 2 or 3 bad ones. I guarantee it’s not all bad, but **** can get annoying

reading through other's experiences in this thread reminds me of why i very rarely visit club tortimer. once i went and some guy was begging a girl to give him bells for coconuts, and another time this girl was saying how her friend was gonna kill herself????? i only go to club tortimer for the rare items there, hackers seem to be extremely prominent on the island and i don't want to deal with that.

yep, they had a black and grey colored mask on with crosses on it, which is the ultimate thing code hackers (or annoying players that chop down trees and do random stuff) wear

LOL this made me die of laughter, only because I forced one of my exes to play acnl with me & he really didn't want to do it but he did it for me at the time, & he really didn't give a **** about acnl or knew anything about it
so he was like uh what should I name my town ? & I told him pick anything you like, if you want a theme town pick a suitable name
& then when I finally let him into my town after he got set up,
he surprised me with his town name
his town name was Aids LOOOOOL omfg..
but he never went to the island so I don't think it was him lmfaoo

also ive been to CT, like...three times? LOL I prefer going to the island by myself/offline.
the only people I came across was children & they keep taking every shark they see without letting others have a chance so hell no
& reading all of these stories, gave me another reason why I should never go to CT again LOL

When someone asks how old I am there, I usually respond with "I'm not here to hook up". One time a person with a girl mayor got all defensive once I said that. Funny thing is her ID card said "Single and ready to mingle".

That is just the jester mask, you can get that from Labelle at the Able Sisters.
