And even then the selection in Europe is terrible, at least in my country. They're still offering points for the Wii/DSi shops, even though they took those down a few months ago. I haven't seen anything new added in months, I've just seen the selection shrink. It's terrible.
Yes, this.I'm in Europe too and the selection in the Stars Catalogue is terrible. I've been jealous of some of the items or games available for NA customers quite a few times, wish they would make it fairer across regions.
Club Nintendo for EU (and a few other regions I've heard of) is really bad. I've found that, a lot of the time, NA gets all the good promotions such as the Pokemon X/Y one Nintendo did recently. Prizes are boring, and there's not much there
On the bright side, we got a Pokemon X/Y promotion thing a month or two ago. Only it wasn't as good as the one where you could register your 3DS and get a free game code.
The main reasons I don't use the Nintendo website. Maybe one day that'll change.

People are gonna be barfing in a few hours when they see the 2014 Club Nintendo Prizes are all just WiiU & 3DS game downloads. *wants NES Remix anyway* but im too tired to download. I wonder what reason they had for not doing physical items this time

Because they can that's why. If you want anything decent you have to be apart of Club Nintendo Japan.
The plushie is cute but it's not super special, I feel like you can get toys like that in the regular store (granted they have ninty toys)

Man, even if it's not what it was last year, this is still some pretty great stuff. I think Ninty's strategy this year was to turn attention towards VC games that they feel probably got overlooked.
you do realize even if you did this you'd have to purchase games from japan for it to be of any use, right?
Buying games from Japan is expensive, but not hard to get. The problem is, you have to have a Japanese address to use the JP Nintendo Club.
