I've been trying to log in for the past day trying to get me your free game only to be told it's down for maintenance . Anyone having this issue as well?

They're down for maintenance probably because so many people wanted to claim their free game. Friends of mine have been complaining about it as well, so it's not an isolated issue. Just try again later.

Nintendo's servers are never up for any major task/release, I thought this was pretty clear when eShop and everything went down around Christmas.

I'm disappointed in them. It seems like they never learn from their mistakes.

That was due to the load from Pokemon Bank.

If anything, Nintendo needs to get more/better servers.

It's attempting to work better now but it thinks I have no coins and sometimes it thinks I have no surveys to complete which I do lol I managed to get my Wii Party U code, but it took 10,000 years to download. Also the MK8 online wouldn't let me connect at all yesterday, but now it's not fighting me at all.

It's actually gotten worse now. The "the site is down" thing is now vanished and it's just plain text
