Club LOL Question

Ok, in my Welcome Amiibo town of PortErin (i got rid of Mushroom to start fresh), it's the Harvest Festival (i'm a couple days ahead) and Shrunk decides to turn up to ask about opening club LOL. Now i can only find 5 of my villagers wandering round because the other's are indoors cooking for the festival, as it were. So i only have 5 signatures for Shrunk. Question...can i wait till the next day to get the last one or does he need it on the same day?
