edit: I have Pietro again, thank you so so incredibly much to all the kindness and generosity you guys have given me in helping me out. I know animal crossing is just a game but I can't even express how touched I am that you all helped out basically a complete stranger, I'm totally overjoyed to have him back in my town and I thank you guys from the bottom of my heart. I know that sounds cheesy but I really do! ^^

Also just for archiving's sake/if anyone stumbles on this thread way in the future I had accidentally TT'd out Pietro by traveling forward 2 hours on the day that he was in boxes. Apparently, it is ok in the game to travel back a few hours in order to keep villagers in boxes, but if you travel forward in time, even if it is still the same day, they might vanish without a trace! No house, no letter, nothing. Be careful, don't make the mistake I did!!

Thank you!! Augh I'm so angry at myself. If anything hopefully this will be a cautionary tale for others! I've heard of people TTing backwards by a few hours to keep villagers in boxes longer, so I assumed the same would be for traveling forward a few hours but apparently not. They just disappear. D:
