I took out my SD card to upload some pictures and put it back in my 3ds and it won't recognize it now...

Animal Crossing: New Leaf is asking me if I want to create extra data...

What should I do...? -_-

Shut your ds off, take the sd card back out, and make sure you put it back in right. Sometimes it can be kinda finicky.

If you can't play without creating extra data, you accept it.
'Extra data' I think is usually spotpass stuff.

I'm glad that fixed it! I've had it happen to me before but it wouldn't let me take any pictures or anything until I removed it and whatnot.

If you have a physical copy, your SD card has pretty much nothing to do with it.. besides pictures and extra data. If it doesn't recognize your SD card, your town wouldn't be corrupted because it wasn't the cartridge.

Your save data is stored in the cartridge,so you should worry about that than the SD card So always make sure that no physical damage is done to the cartridge to prevent possible save corruption or loss of save data.

Doesn't the creating extra data refer to Spotpass?
I tried to play NL without my SD card and that's what popped up (I have a physical copy)
