i have one but its my underatanding that they cannot go online because theres no way for it to actually be obtained in gen6??

It should be tradable and you can battle with it online but you couldn't use it in competitions because it can't be Kalos/6th gen Hoenn born. At least that's how I understand it.

Soft boiled doesn't pass on to the offspring, unfortunately. It can only be taught with the FR/LG move tutor
