"Clearing your void"

I didn't misread anything.

The person in the linked thread did not have that villager on main street AT ALL because the villager came from a town (Sweets) that she had subsequently reset. She connected with another player and although the town she had on her game was a new town, the other player picked up a voided villager from Sweets.

That villager was MORE than cycled out of the void, indeed that villager should have been long gone, but was -still- in the void. See?

No, if the villager was on main street it means that it was NOT in the void. The villager must have still been in the void when the town was reset, and therefore would have never appeared on main street.

It's also possible that the villager was picked up when the person had 10 villagers and moved in after a villager left.

OK, look, you need to take a look at the thread.

"Last summer, I bought New Leaf. My first town was named Sweets. One of my starters was the normal chicken, Ava. She was my first villager I allowed to move out, and since I wasn't involved in the online AC community at the time, she went to the void. Again, this was last July..."

"Through time travelling efforts and cycling, I moved out close to thirty villagers after her...."

"...[the other player] bought a new SD card and redownloaded ACNL so that I could look at his town. Yesterday we were hanging out, and I pulled out all his weeds for him (61), and talked to all his villagers and such. A villager plot had appeared. Ava. "

Thirty villagers gone after Ava, and the town reset, and the other player still picked her up.

No, if the villager was on main street it means that it was NOT in the void.

Also, I can debunk this one. I voided Mallary, she went to main street and a little while later a guy who'd connected to me came back to say he'd picked her up. Mallary's still on my main street today, I can take a pic of that.

Are you sire that Mallary moved into his town from your town? He could have gotten Mallary randomly. I've visited my sister and later gotten one of her moved out villagers that never mentioned being from her town, which a villager will always do upon moving in.

He came back to my town when my gate was open specifically to say he'd got "your Mallary" and didn't like her :P So yes, it was mine, confirmed from my town, with my cruddy furniture...

EDIT: Might as well mention I added and let the guy in for sigs originally, and these were the only two times we connected; I never heard from him again.

That's not really solid proof though, he just SAID that it was your Mallary. He could have gotten her as a random move in and just assumed she was from your town.

I just said, it was my Mallary from Hollow, he'd entered the town on his list called Hollow.
She had the giant brown chesspiece I gave her for her birthday.
Not much more proof than that!
