Cleaning Your Villagers Closets

That was unexpected.. I just visited Mint for the first time, as she is new.
She's got this tiny blue teapot on top of her dresser so I went to see if it did anything, because I've not seen it before. I hit my A button, but instead opened the drawer.
..."There's a dusty old butterfly machine in here..."
Mint says, NEAR, What do you think you're doing?? Oh, you found my old butterfly machine, I haven't seen that thing in ages! Would you mind taking it off my hands?"
So anyway, I got a butterfly machine for simply looking through my neighbors drawer. I had no idea you could get stuff that way..
Has anyone else done that?

I've gotten a couple of items from several villagers that way. I try and make everyone have a closet or drawer in their house, so I can potentially get more free items.

Happened before, anytime someone is in their house I make sure to invade and hope they have drawers. I usually get one thing out of Rudy every day. xD

I unexpectedly got a hammock from Bob while visiting him spur of the moment xP I wasn't anticipating getting a free item cuz I usually just get the generic "Is it possible he/she occasionally sleeps in here?.." message.

And now that I think about it, I accidentally forced Bob to buy my balloon drawers when he already had a storage cabinet xP
Oh well.
