(I was going to put this in The Museum.. but since I didn't actually draw the image myself, I wasn't sure if I should - all I did was use a doll maker and then render it in GIMP so it has a transparent background)

So I just rendered this image into this using GIMP and a guide I found on Google, and I'm pretty happy with how it came out. :D

The only issue I have with it is that I didn't realize that she had a few specks of the same shade of grey I deleted from the background on her clothes (and I think a few in her eye).. So now she has some "see-through" holes in her. (I'm not 100% satisfied with how rough the outlines are, either, but oh well. It's fine for a first attempt)

Now, I'm sure many of you are probably thinking "Big deal - I can do the same thing in like 2 seconds" - but I've never done anything with a program like GIMP before, and so this is a pretty "big deal" to me. :p I honestly never thought I'd be able to figure out how to do even something as simple as that.

Anywho! This is the doll maker I used to create the little Chibi Sailor Senshi - in case you weren't already familiar with it.

I wouldn't call her an "OC".. because really, I was just messing around. She'd be a joke character at most (I imagine her as being really bratty and hating being a Sailor Senshi - refusing to participate in battles, even with the other Senshi are calling for help. :p And I can easily imagine her favorite things to say being "Whatever" and "This is stupid")..
But darnit, she's cute! - really makes me wish I was at least decent at drawing, because I'd love to draw the images I have of her in my head.

(you guys should totally make your own Chibi Sailor Senshi, too *nudgenudge*)

Thinking about it... I suppose I should have just made this a blog post. >_>; I didn't really say anything that could lead to "conversation".. I wonder if I should request a thread lock..?

Ah, this is really cool! I remember when I first got into photoshop I was amazed at both the magic wand, liquidfier and the the healing tool. I could make backgrounds transparent in one click, erase blemishes like magic, and warp things very funny. I was like "ooohhh so that's how they do it!" Because I was used to microsoft paint for so long haha. I thought it took dedication of HOURS pixel by pixel or something. Maybe if you continue to explore gimp, you could make your own graphic signature thread!

oh, i made my ocs there.
I just wish there was an option for the bucket tool that said "Fill with transparency" which would make everything easier.
And yes, i use gimp. i did that once, and it was HARD!
BTW, i think that looks good.
