probably the best idea is to save your game and then talk to him, most times he will tell you and then you say good luck or whatever, but there is a small chance he'll decide to stay after all. if that happens, just load up from the save point.

Well, they're already in boxes and every time I talk to him, he just says his house is bigger now that he's all packed up.
