Cherry Leaving or No?

So today I went to my town and spoke to see if anyone was moving out. Turns out Cherry one of my villagers I'm trying to get rid of was thinking of moving out. But when I went to talk to her she said she was staying? So i'm majorly confused if she is moving out or not. I dont want to tt to the day she "Might" be moving out if it turns out to be a dud. Someone help?

If she gave you a move out date, why would she be staying? I feel like if someone told you she's moving, she probably is.

Yea I know but then she said she was staying so now I dont know if she's moving or not. This hasnt happened to anyone else?

They can change their minds sadly. If she said she was staying, she's staying.

Darn. So it reset for who's going to move out?

Nobody will move out. Sometimes when you say 'OK Bye' they'll say stuff like 'Actually, I'm going to stay and work on our friendship' then maybe a week or so later someone else will ping/be rumoured to move out.
