Unfortunately, the cherry blossoms -- just like in real life -- are only here for a short while. For the northern hemisphere, that was April 1st to April 10th.
While I wish they could be here every single day for my island, that kind of defeats the purpose of the "beauty in impermanence" aesthetic that sakura represent, hahahaha...

On the day after Hanami ended, I was tempted to put up a bunch of standees so I could be like...if you the tree standee diy learnt, you can customise the tree into a sakura one or any other seasonal trees

I'm sure that there's a formal guide somewhere around here, but at least for pinks, to my knowledge most (all?) of them can be acquired by putting a white and red flower of the same species next to each other and watering them. This gives you a chance of finding a newly "born" pink flower the next day, however there's also a chance of receiving a red flower, a white flower or nothing instead. There's a lot of RNG involved.
The exact mechanics are a bit more complex, involving a rigourous system of hidden genetic values...however, if all you're looking for are pinks, you're in luck because they are among the easiest hybrids to acquire!
Finally, you can also get some hybrid flowers (including pinks!) on some (rare) islands when you use your Nook Miles. Your island's primary (the one that grows on your island naturally; they'll be all over the upper tiers) and secondary (which you can regularly find in your Nook's Cranny shop) flowers will appear sometimes in a flush of hybrid colours for you to bring back to your island with you.

Hmm... if hackers can put anything on trees, it’s possible they can make permenant sakura trees ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Although, as much as we love the sakura tree, it’s makes it extra special that they appear only during a certain time of the year ( '́⌣'̀)/(˘̩̩ε˘̩ƪ)
We’d have to wait for the dream suit (or sumthang like that) to come to new horizons and we can save our towns in a dream with the sakura trees and visit it whenever (ღ˘◡˘ღ) ♫
