There aren't really set names for their smashes or regular attacks. BTW, it's called an up-smash, down-smash, or side-smash. Final Smashes are only in Brawl.

Meteor Smashes are smashes that make the opponent go flying. Like C. Falcon's Down Air attack, or Mario's Side Air attack.

There are two attacks that can send you going down really fast.

-Meteor Smash = examples are Ganondorf's Dair (down air) and Capt.Falcon's Dair too. You can "Meteor Recover" from these by just jumping or using the up-b move mostly.

-Spike = example of these are Marth's Dair and Falco's Dair too. You can't recover from these in any way :S.

I guess you should have a mayor idea on what it is. Also, if anyone wants to answer, be sure to have the right answer first (Im not saying you guys/gals were wrong, just letting you all know).
