Lolly needs a char, so I need help catching one. It's 10/17 and 8am in my town. I heard to go by the waterfall, I'm right here:

the char will spawn at the bottem of the waterfall from
4am-9 am, 4pm-9pm (Mar-Jun)
4am-9pm (Sept-Nov)
id recommend to check regularly because it can take awhile for it to actually spawn.

idk, the picture wont show up.
iirc the char can spawn at the bottom of both waterfalls in your town (the one flowing into your river and the one flowing into the ocean)
so you'll want to stand either
A. at the big pond area around the waterfall that flows into the river
or
B. at the beach/on the cliffside and fishing into that area that isn't quite ocean, but is past the cliff
hopefully that makes sense/helps

I second this. My police station is in front of the waterfall flowing into the ocean so I had to catch the char at the bottom of it, incase you have a building/villager there in front of that waterfall. Keep looking though, it will spawn.
I also can't see that attachment still, so I can't verify if you're standing/fishing in the correct spot where chars spawn. You can try uploading your image to imgur and giving a link? I think that would work better

Yes, you should be standing in the correct spot from what I see. You can catch the char either at the top of the waterfall in the river, or the mouth that is just going into the river.
