Changing thread titles?

So how can I change the title of a thread I've created, for example, to show that I've updated or added more items? I've seen people do it, but I just can't figure it out.

then on the new screen, click advanced

You can also edit the title of your thread from the home of the subforum your thread is posted in. To do this, you just double click near the title.

i do this by accident sometimes when im trying to click on the new posts icon
