change screen name?

is it possible to change my screen name without creating another account?

yeah! go to the last page of the shop and there you can purchase a username change either for 10 seashells, or 1200 tbt.

For anyone else reading this: creating a new account in order to change your username is actually against our rules (see Rules and Guidelines, Section 1.5. Accounts) and we will outright ban any additional accounts people try to make. When these accounts are banned, the usernames will no longer be changeable so that name will no longer be available for use by yourself or anyone else - so there is no advantage to attempting this. Please be sure to use the shop items we have provided instead.

i didnt want to create a new account, i just wanted to change my screen name while using the same account.
i did check the suggestion that ryuk mentioned and you did have the screen name change for 10 seashells, as he said...so i tried it but it didnt work. that was about two weeks ago. i did check the day after i tried it and there was no reply or anything about it so i blew it off until just now. the rules must have changed right when i asked about it? because now its 1200 tbt?
is that right?

You can change your username for either 10 seashells or 1200 bells. I think you have to make a thread in Contact the Staff about the username change, and they’ll get around to it. It’s not immediate. Mine took a few hours, but that was a few years ago. You just have to be patient. The staff have lives outside of this forum.

To the best of my knowledge it never stopped working. You just go into the Shop, purchase one of the two username change items--one costs 10 seashells and the other 1200 bells--and then go into your Inventory to use the item to change your username.
