i've had 5 saplings planted in spots that are ABLE TO GROW but they always die. why? i tried planting them on separate days but they just won't grow.

Cedars will only grow in the north part of your town.
Are they on the northern part of your town? That might be the problem if they aren't.
that's what i thought the rule was, but i heard it was changed in acnl? guess not :c
