Cats vs Dogs: Which pet is better?

Both! Both are such great pets in their own aspects, it really comes down to preferences and how you live. If you alone and go to work, cats are better. If you have more time on your hands or maybe live with more people who have varied schedules from yours, dogs can be good for this. I've had both and I love them so much.

I'm not a dog person. I don't like it when they bark at me or jump at me and they pee and **** in other people's yards which isn't cool. Cats on the other hand are usually calm and polite.

In all fairness it does depend on the owner aswell as I don't let my dogs walk on peoples gardens or go toilet on them as I wouldn't like that myself

Indeed. I actually also find cats poo and spray in people's yards also more because a lot of people let their cats outdoor roam too. It also sucks if you're a pond owner with fish because you get a lot of neighbor's cats that try to kill them...Lost some really sentimental beautiful koi that way and it sucks having to net your pond which obscures viewing. :/

When I had cats I had them indoor only just because you will have people that put out poisons and traps due to issues like that.

I love both but I'll always be a dog person through and through. I've owned both and I know it's dependent on individual personality, but I always felt a closer bond with my dogs.

The few cats I've had were aloof and only wanted attention on their terms. I need that happy wagging tail to greet me when I come home after a long, hard day and I love getting snuggles from my dog when I'm sad or depressed.

I also greatly prefer walking a dog to cleaning a litter box. I just can't handle that. My husband is the cat person so when we had a cat the rule was the litter box was his responsibility. I wouldn't go near it.

I don't have many experiences with cats so dogs get my vote plus I find them to be a lot cuter.

I'm cats all the way as far as my own personal preference for my lifestyle, but I used to have dogs too. I love both! I love all animals and critters, no matter how big or small! =^.^=

I like both, but mostly dogs. Especially big dogs, because I love giving them hugs. Cats usually just come and go.

Both are definitely good but most my pets have been dogs because my mother is allergic to cats. I do adore the cat pets my friends have but that's about it, if I could own a cat one day I'd love to take care of one .

I one time saw a quote where it said something like a dog’s POV is “oh humans give me food and shelter they must be a god” and a cat’s POV is “oh humans give me food and shelter I must be a god” xD

Oh yeah the best part about the dog peeing on other lawns is if there is someone you hate in the neighborhood, just have your female dog pee on their lawn and kill the grass xD
One of our neighbors were being a pig having their dog going potty in our yard and having their grandchild to spill buch of cheerios on our playset and never cleaned any of that up. So we had our dogs go potty on their lawn xD

Chihuahuas are always known as the bad guys. They're just so bratty and cranky like cats. Like why do they always have to be like that, l have never see a nice chihuahua.

I think that both cats and dogs are very loving, fun, and wonderful to have!

cats! they smell less, go to the bathroom themselves, and don't require you to go on walks with them. they're "easier" if you live in a smaller space with limited access to the outside. lots of times people consider them less affectionate than dogs but i think that really depends on the personality of the cat.

Cats all the way I currently have 7 and love them all with all my heart they're so sweet and cute and pretty and each one is unique in their own way ^^
I also had a dog before and that was fun but I've always been a cat person
