So I have Deli (or what ever his name is) in my town and I've trying to get him to move out...

He's really hard to find normally or he's in his house so I've trapped him in a little area by a ramp and I've tried the following:

  1. Stay in Sea for 5mins
  2. Get stung by 3 jellyfish
  3. Catch 5 deep-sea creatures
  4. Multiple permutations of all above
  5. Time travelled 2 weeks and done all above

I go back to him and he just doesn't ping -_- WHYYYY? xD

What else can I do?

I recommend using the more common method. Trap him near the ramp, then remove everything in your pockets. Fill them with flowers or unchecked fossils, this prevents villagers from buying, selling, or asking you to deliver anything for them which narrows down their 'Ping!" choices to asking for a catchphrase or greeting and PWP requests. Sit in the ocean for 5-10 minutes and walk past him once or twice to check for pings. Rinse and repeat. It can take a while, but I've been using this method quite successfully.

If he pings you to move, and you don't care to TT him out, I'll gladly take his furry butt. c:

You can also try talking with him until he doesn't care to talk any more and has the thought bubble emote. I usually have villagers ask to move after I talk with them like this for a few days.

You cannot force villagers to move. They will only ping you to move if they already have decided to move.

Oh I'm sorry, I saw this too late :/ I TT'd him out because I won Zell and had to pick him up straight away >.<

This isn't correct. It's random each time you load a game assuming it's been 3 days after someone else has left.
If the wrong person pings, just reset and start over.

I've done it loads. This time I had Jay want to go but I reset and got Deli to go :)
