I have a little problem. One day, out of the blue, Pashmina (who I wanted to keep and was very special to me) just up and left. I was so frustrated, but the days went on as usual and I was down to 9 villagers.

I had that last 10th open slot available for a potential new dreamie, which of course I could only get via campsite or streetpass.

WHICH, OF COURSE, I forgot to turn my streetpass off, and I got KEN, the chicken. UGGGHHHH.

Now, his house is not in THE WORSE possible spot it could have been plopped down on. It is at least out of the way, but still on top of a path and its annoying just having it exist anywhere in my town period.

I have heard several things. 1, your NEWEST villager wont move out, meaning one of your other villagers has to move before the most recent one can leave. Is this true? And 2, I have heard that not talking to a villager at all wont start a sort of "friendship interaction latter" and will therefore get them out faster. I havent even introduced myself to Ken yet just in case this is true.

My main problem is that I have ALL of my dreamies and I REALLY dont want to move one of my existing villagers out to get Ken to leave. Can Ken leave even if he is my newest villager, or will I have to make a sacrifice, suck it up, and start looking for two potential dreamies to fill up those two slots that will be lost? :(

Unfortunately in my personal experience, I have never gotten the 10th move-in to move out before someone else moves first. In terms of interaction I've found that introducing yourself to the villager once and never talking to them again makes them move out faster, but I only use this method when resetting towns when I'm already cycling a lot of villagers.

I have had the 10th villager ping to move out. It does happen, it is just more rare.

Build up your friendship with him, and eventually he will ping. The villagers who ping are chosen at sorta random, just keep trying.

this happened to me and i introduced myself and then got a villager to ping to move, (usually one of the 9 i wanted to stay) told them no, and time warped to the day they said they were leaving, walked around on that day, got another pig from someone else, told them no and time warped to that day as well, and did this until i got the unwanted villager out. sadly, you end up months ahead of time, but you should be back to back track to present day without messing anything up. since moving backwards only counts as one day regardless of how far you travel into the past.

Same here. I had a similar situation and after months of trying everything, I finally let go of someone else and - of course - the next one to ping was the villager I wanted to leave. So yeah, I know some people have managed to make a 10th villager leave but personally I haven't been successful (just haven't had much luck, I guess).

it happened to me too, ONCE (out of 4 towns)

after befriending them like crazy, give them a piece of rotten fruit when they ask for a perfect piece...
this does the trick for me every single time when I want someone gone (haven't tried it on the last moved in yet)

ALRIGHT good to know! All I need to know is that getting the 10th villager to move is POSSIBLE. It might be rare but all I need is do-able. WOO! I'll get to work on that now then.

That bit about giving a villager rotten fruit when they ask for perfect cracked me up.

It happened to me. I told the other villagers who wanted to move to stay, after 2 of them, the most recent move in asked me to move out.

All of this. I have done this to get the most recent- or 10th villager to move out without moving any of the other villagers out. It's a pretty simple method. It might take a while, it's all luck really but I suggest it.

Well, on my old town I had a kangaroo villager named Kitt or Katt (or something like that) that had just moved in and in like a week or else she pinged me to move out....

Lets see.. So far in my game the recent one to move in is Croque from a friend's town, it was by accient though xD and none of my villagers has moved yet! I just cant let go xD

Ken was a Streetpass move-in for me once, too. LOL. I didn't really mind him, but I did let him move out. Like a few other people, I have had a 10th villager move out before. You'll probably have to turn down a lot of other requests first, though.
