I am hungry for storage space!
Yes, I am frustrated towards Nintendo for making the stupidest decisions concerning their games (and being downright predatory in others) for years on end now because it only seems to be getting worse, that doesn't just apply to something minor like cataloguing in a dream though, but to everything (and I also like to swear for literally no reason, you can see it as aggressive but I don't) And I'm also allowed to feel that way, so I will never change my mind on anything like this. My first post wasn't angry at all either, but then you hit me with what I read as a very passive-aggressive "it makes no sense stupid lol", so I thought I should clarify as to why I personally find that a stupid excuse.
Anyway, I literally do not care enough and I merely wanted to answer OPs question so that's that. Won't respond to any more replies on my post.
It also seems like people aren't aware that both visiting an island and visiting a dream requires NSO on BOTH parties ends. Which makes it essentially the same thing in the games eyes. But they specifically put a lock on it concerning dreams... because it's illogical? Nah, I refuse to believe that.
I agree with you that online trading and visiting dreams require an online subscription. However, if you're going to question the design standpoint, why make it redundant then? If I can only visit other people's dreams rather than meeting up to do catalog trades, it won't make any sense. I am totally fine with us throwing the "logic" away in a game. But what about the "logic" in design?
I also do understand you're quite furious about these design choices. If there's only an open forum for Animal Crossing of where people can discuss these topics directly with developers, it would definitely help us understand them. But I am sure they have their own reasons. Whether or not if it's purely greed, I will leave it up to your imagination.
