Can you revert a character back to original status?

so I've had Fuchsia for a long time and I've given her tons of stuff. Just for the sake of it, I kinda want to return her home back to the way it was since i kinda gave her like a ton of random stuff like nintendo things and everything.

i heard mailing the villager will place the things back in their room, but never tried it so i don't wanna waste time doing something that doesn't work. actually i hardly mail things to my villagers anyways, so i wouldn't exactly know haha

but is it true that i can do that?

yes you can mail them their original clothes and they could either wear it or display it in their house.
if you give them a piece of their original furniture they could place it in another spot from what it was.. originally.
it might take some time, but you can restore their house to their original furniture.

sadly,no. the option to report villagers to isabelle only resets multiplayer related things. (ex: a villager is wearing an inappropriate pro design from the town they used to live in)

You can mail them stuff, but it's not guaranteed that they'll place them in their homes or in the location you want them to. As you start sending them stuff, they may also replace their new furniture instead of the old furniture that you want them to get rid of. There's no way to turn their house into its completely original state easily. It honestly requires a ton of luck; I wouldn't try to get it back to its completely original state if I were you. I'd just try to get it looking nice.

You might have more luck getting them to put out their new furniture if you write them a long letter or gift furniture that's of their favorite color and style. Also, I probably wouldn't try mailing more than one furniture item per mailing period (before 9:00 AM and before 5:00 PM). I haven't tried mailing multiples items, but I'm guessing that they won't put them all out. That's still 2 items per day.

You can also wait for them to ask you for new furniture or put it up in ReTail. Then they will definitely put it in their homes. But the rest still applies. They may or may not keep it for long, and they may or may not put it in a good spot.

I gave Marina a lovely lamp, and she put it in the right place, but then replaced it with a shirt. I mailed her another lovely lamp, and she replaced her lovely end table with it. It's turned into Whack-a-Mole.

Lolly, on the other hand, put all her furniture back in the right place (when I got her, her house was mostly empty). She pretty quickly got rid of stuff or replaced it. If you fill Re-Tail with flowers, if does help.

oh ok i see. so it'll just take some time but more or less it's somewhat possible to get it at least something similar to what they originally had.
