Can you make a villager original again?

I just got Erik from another town today, my ultimate favourite, but his house is all messed up, and that's one of the reasons I love him so much! Is there any way I can somewhat get his house back to its original state? All the furniture is replaced with fish

oh gosh thats why i never fulfill a villager's request for bugs and fish... maybe just once or so..

i'd say you can try to buy the items and give them to him over and over again until he eventually fills it int he house, but if any of it is unorderable you're out of luck.

I second what taesaek said, just keep sending them items thru the mail, talk to them so they can ask you for stuff to replace in their rooms, and just hope that they dont fill empty spaces with shirts.. .꒰ϱ﹏-๑꒱‧*Zz｡

^...that would be quite impossible, to get rid of fish/bugs. Many have tried.
I have never seen or heard of one single successful case of anyone able to replace those darn fish and bugs.

The villagers simply refuse to part with them. (I've tried it with Merengue & Tangy in my main town)

I've definitely had villagers replace fish and bugs with furniture. Actually they've even given me the fish as a gift once they replaced it in their house - it's doable but it will take a while.

You can replace the fish/bugs. My Lolly asked me to get her some furniture to replace her fish so I gave her a picnic basket and she got rid of the fish so it is possible.

Also for house originality, accept their invites to their house. Talk to them repeatedly until they start selling you furniture. Choose the ugly items that they have added.
