Can you keep passing Katie back between the same two towns?

My friend gave me Katie, I was wondering if I could give her back to her town cause she wants to travel again? If not, let me know if any of you want her!

Yes, as long as the other town did not receive Katie from someone else before you returned her.

Yes you can keep passing Katie between 2 towns only. That is the only way I've done it and I've gotten all of her gifts in both of my towns. There were times I was too busy to take her to my other town. She would hang around that day and then be gone. But she would show up again a week or so later.
