Can you infinitely cycle the same Amiibo card campsite visitors for DIYs?

Since Amiibo camp visitors reset when they aren’t invited three times in a row, could you for instance alternate between two different Amiibo cards, inviting each for two days to gain different DIYs over and over without getting them to the third day step of wanting to stay?

From my understanding you can just keep inviting them, getting the recipe, and never complete the item again and again without having to switch between ywo different ones. As long as you dont complete three of their requests, they will keep asking you to make things for them the next invite.

I was thinking of alternating between two different types I don’t have on my island so I could get all their DIYs without having to have them live here / waiting on bottles, but that’s good to know!

I've been going through different amiibo every day, usually one amiibo two days in a row, to get DIYs but so far they actually give me "repeats" (asking for a DIY I already have) more than giving me new ones. I've started tracking and it's around 3 repeats to 1 new DIY.
