Can you drop interior structures outside of the player's home?

I want to know if you can drop interior structures outside of the player's house. I know you can't place em, but can you drop them on your island?

You mean like rugs, walls, hanging items, and such?

Yes, you drop them and they look like a rolled rug/wallpaper or a leaf.

If you're referring to the partition walls, counters and pillars then no you can't drop them. The game will just say "You can't use this item right now"
