Can you change a villager's wallpaper and flooring?

I really wanted to re-do all of Coco's house to something cuter, but I've been mailing her some wallpaper for a week and nothing happens.

Is it confirmed that you can't change a villager's flooring/wallpaper?

Nope, you can't change it at all in this game without hacking.
In previous games (not counting the GameCube version) it was possible.

I was really excited about re-making Coco's house. I hate it when they remove features like that.

I know! I wish they had left that option open! I remember in previous games we could change up the walls and floors. And yep, Coco's interior could really use a make-over, lol.
