Last night, I adopted Aurora from another island (Yay!) and it was mentioned that she was given some clothes. I said that it didn't matter since I can talk to Isabelle that can temporarily remove the clothes but to her default. However, today, she had a black bow that didn't appear to reset after I went to talk to Isabelle. I did some research and I haven't found anything but everything I've found was at least 3 months ago.

I know that I can always moved her out and back in, but I don't have the Amiibo cards and don't time travel, so if I go this route, it will require some patience. I'm not sure if Aurora will ever get rid of these clothes or not after some time as well.

Just stop caring about what they choose to wear. Problem solved.

I don't think you can reset her clothes to be 100% original. Though if you'd prefer to have her wear different clothes, you can always give her a certain amount of clothing items that you do like (24 iirc) and the black bow for example will no longer be in her inventory. I also heard that villagers will occasionally sell stuff from their inventory to you.

Thats what I heard to. I'll try to give her some newer clothes or just wait out a bit. I'm willing to work with her but I was just wondering if someone discovered a quicker way or not.

They don't wear their accessories every day so that's something, at least. You can always give her different accessories and hope she'll wear those more often but she'll probably still wear that bow :(

That's not a solution.

I believe Isabelle's main role with this is actually to reset their clothes to ditch custom designs. I may be wrong but I'm pretty sure the point of those options are to reset player-made items (in case they're offensive or something) - rather than change the outfit back to their default.

That said, I do have Aurora's amiibo so if you ever decide to kick her out/move her back in, just dm me and we can get a new Aurora.

There's no easy way to get rid of hats/accessories unfortunately. Someone put an ugly hat design in my Ables, and I removed it right away, but my villagers won't stop wearing it. Even when reporting their outfit to Isabelle, they don't take off the hat. Luckily they don't wear it every day, but it's still annoying when I see them wearing it.

Oh yes, I heard that to. I actually think I did that with Julia on my island. She hasn't worn that design ever again. I know on regular clothes it's temp but for the moment.

Thanks for the offer. If it comes to that, I'll let you know!

i got rosie from someone else and she had a sweater that i hated. one day i gave her fruit and she gave me the sweater and she never wore it again.

It seems Aurora's favorite styles are cute and elegant, and her favorite colors red and pink. If you give her a hat or a different bow or hair clip, she may stop wearing the black bow, or hopefully wear it less. Harv's island is great for trying on different clothes to see what will look good on them.

I had this thought. Perhaps I'll just keep gifting her stacks of fruits and she'll give me the stuff in which hopefully will be the stuff I would like her not wear anymore.

How is that a solution?

It's a real in game problem.

I've just kicked Shep out because he wouldn't take off the hideous suit of lights for the past five months. :-/

People won't just 'stop caring' because someone randomly posted that they should.
