Can villagers pick lucky clovers?

Some of you might not know, but villagers can pick weeds and clovers. But I would like to know can villagers pick lucky clovers? Ones that you have already picked and planted again. I have a few near two villagers' houses at the moment and I want to make sure they won't pick them.

I've never seen villagers pick weeds or clovers. All I've seen them do is plant and water flowers.

While villagers will pick ordinary weeds, they won't uproot clovers.
I'm 100% certain they won't touch your lucky clovers -- my town is chock full of them and I've never had one go missing.
They ought to be safe as long as nobody moves in on top of them!

Actually I know for a fact they can pick weeds! When I was staving up weeds for weeding day I witnessed it a few times. I dont know about clovers though, sorry, but they can pluck weeds for sure.

I've seen my villagers pick weeds and it always amuses me that they seem not happy when doing this. They're all "What's this? Away with it!" But clovers; no.

Yeah, they can, but from what I've observed in my town, it depends on how many weeds you have. They tend to do it more often when there are more weeds. I'm not sure if it's related to the ordinance you have, though. I have the Beautiful Town one, so it might be because of that.

Not true. My villagers picked weeds while I had the "Bell Boom" ordinance. Ordinance doesn't seem to have any effect, I think they always have a chance to pick weeds if they pass them.

No they don't. I tried saving up weeds for the weeding minigame so I didn't have Beautiful Town on. I swear to God they picked up at least two a day. It took me over two months just to get 50 weeds, which is the bare minimum (where I believe the average number of new weeds per day is three). My villagers live in the east and south side of town, and there were literally no weeds there. 99% of those 50 weeds were in the north side where my villagers rarely walk.

It's also not dependent on how many weeds you have. Even when I just had three or so weeds, I saw them picking them, which is just so frustrating. Maybe they might pick more while you have Beautiful Town, but there would be no way to check unless you have a thousand weeds and then switched to Beautiful Town since weeds hardly ever spawn under Beautiful Town anyway.
